Think and Dream Big

Dream bigWhen you believe in your dreams, it can be done, but when you spend some time into self-guided integrated thinking, you are half-way there, already.

“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”
Your axe is your mind. An hour of effective, precise, hard, disciplined and integrated thinking can be worth a month of hard work. The most successful people in the world have worked hard to achieve their current status, but more than that, they have an invested a good amount of time on mental work. Have you heard of a millionaire who lives a sloppy life, or does not even have his calendar scheduled for the day? Warren Buffett has built his whole calendar around thinking. Empire builders spend hour-after- hour on planned thinking. You don’t have to be the first person in the office, or the last one to leave, but you have to be the most impactful one.

The most powerful tool- your mind, is a castle full of ideas. When you insinuate yourself from all distractions, you reach a place in your mind, peaceful yet oddly thrilling. You would have answers to questions, new ideas, plans, thoughts, and more thoughts. All these things coming into your head may seem unorganized, so you take a pen and a writing pad to note whatever comes to your mind. Now get specific, don’t just think about random things on the planet. Try to focus on your goals, your problems, and their solutions. Take 4 hours and plan out your next 3 months. You might this incredibly hard, or perhaps incredibly liberating, but each time you do it you will get better at it. Take this game plan and be flexible, but use it to avoid obstacles.  Identify all spots for opportunity and all areas of weakness. Glue yourself to your chair and THINK. It must be uncomfortable…like exercise…push through your comfort zone for results.

Learn to plan out everything, at least mentally. If you plan, and I mean really plan things out (even if it is about simple things to do during the day, like making your lunch, grocery trips, workout schedules for the next 4-12 weeks), you will achieve more than you ever thought possible. This is the stuff of legends. It is that level of planning that brings exceptional results. You save time, which can be invested else, and you would have a sorted routine. And can help you avoid months of wasted work due to a last-second poor decision that conflicted with your original goals.

Set aside time to think about new ideas. Brainstorm to get deep into your mind, and dig out the answers to your queries. The world is very messed up. Spend your time on quality thinking, rather than staring at your mobile screens. Procrastination doesn’t get you results.
